Bobbie Geauviene (Clark) Hollingsworth was the second child of Grace Clark and James Terrell Clark of Antelope, Clay County, Texas.


She graduated from Shamrock High School, Amarillo Junior College and in the 1947 class of St. Anthony's School of Nursing, Amarillo, TX.


She was a member of the Cadet Nurse Corps, an arm of the US Public Health Services that during World War II trained nurses at an accelerated rate to care for US citizens at home.


She married her beloved Dr. Charles E. Hollingsworth (Lt. Col., Ret. Army Medical Corps) in 1948. They spent 22 years in military service as they traveled with their four children on assignments in Japan, Germany, and numerous stateside forts.


Bobbie enjoyed genealogy, reading, traveling, her family and friends.


She was a member of the Alamo Mission Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, 'Ol Shavano Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Albert Sidney Johnston #2060 United Daughters of the Confederacy, the San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society and Bexar County Medical Alliance.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister Yvonne Vaughn; three brothers, Shellie Taylor Clark, James Terrell Clark Jr. and Charles Shockley Clark; great-grandchildren Taylor and Ryder Jackman.


She is survived by sister, Billie (Clark)Williams; sisters-in-law Wanda Clark, and Colleen Clark Lynch; son, Dr. Charles Edward Hollingsworth II (Cynthia); daughters Janice Hollingsworth, Mary Gregory, and Elizabeth Hollingsworth; grandchildren, Carolyn Gregory, Elizabeth Reagan Hollingsworth, Julia (Ian) Farmer, Emily (Jason) Walker, Charles Edward Hollingsworth III, Lt. US Marine Corps (Rosemary), Rebecca (Nathan) Jackman, James Stewart Gregory; great-granddaughters Gracie Farmer, Kate Farmer, Elizabeth Walker, Avery Jackman and great-grandsons Wesley Farmer, Jack Farmer, Jacob Walker and Benjamin Walker.


A private interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.


Memorial Service will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church, 1300 Wiltshire, San Antonio, Texas 78209, sometime in the Spring.


Bobbie was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. She requested that in lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the charity of their choice or to AMEDD Museum Foundation, Inc P.O. Box 8294 San Antonio, Texas 78208.
