Lawrence Homer Fry, 94, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka.

He was born September 17, 1914 in Denton, TX to Thomas and Elsie Pinckley Fry.

He moved to Fayetteville AR in the early 1930's where he enjoyed a long career in the automobile and cattle business.

He was a Member of Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville AR and Berea Church of Christ in Burnsville, MS.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in Army Intelligence both Overseas and in the States.

Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 until service time, Saturday, February 28, at Iuka Church of Christ in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, at Iuka Church of Christ in Iuka, officiated by Lance Foster. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Fayetteville AR with graveside services at 3:30 PM Monday, March 2nd in Fayetteville, AR.

Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

Pallbearers include Henry Terry, Kris Lange, Brent Childs, Bronson Childs, Bill Childs, Tim Childs.

He is survived by his Wife of nearly 20 years: Lois Childs Fry of Iuka, MS; Step Sons: Bill Childs, Jim Childs both of Iuka, MS and Tim Childs and Wife, Janice, of Burnsville, MS; Step Daughters: Carolyn Terry and Husband, Henry, of Iuka, MS and Brenda Lambert and Husband, Danie, of Burnsville, MS; Sisters: Irene Matl of Fort Worth, TX and Susan Spreen and Husband, Leslie, of Carlsbad, California.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, his Wife of fifty years, Dorothy Poore Fry; Sisters: Helen Stuart Anderson and Husband, Jack Stuart; Eunice Haggard and Husband, W.F. "Bill" Haggard; Brothers: Gordon Fry and Wife, Winonia; Eugene Fry and Wife, Bertha; a Brother In Law, Frank Matl and a Very Special Nephew, Don Matl.
